New York City Endocrinologist Presented MACE Distinction

Zachary T. Bloomgarden, MD, FACE received the Master of the American College of Endocrinology (MACE) distinction at the AACE 21st Annual Scientific & Clinical Congress in Philadelphia, on May 27, 2012.

The Master of the American College of Endocrinology (MACE) distinctionis given to an AACE member who has received FACE distinction, is recognized as a distinguished practicing endocrinologist as well as a role model for developing endocrinologists and contributor to AACE and to the art and science of Endocrinology.

“I was delighted and greatly moved to be awarded this special recognition from my peers.  The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists represents a unique group of physicians who understand both the complexities of medical assessment and treatment,” Dr. Bloomgarden explains, “and the difficulties of clinical care in our society, and it is a pleasure, and a great privilege, for me to be a part of the organization.”

Dr. Bloomgarden has an international reputation for writing and lecturing on diabetes, and has authored more than 350 publications in this field. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Bloomgarden has served as a member of the Board of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, is the co-Editor of theJournal of Diabetesand has been principal investigator in numerous studies.  He has been listed for several years in the publication, “Castle Connolly Guide: The Best Doctors New York Metro Area.”
