Dr. Felice Caldarella was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of New York University. He received his medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University in Rhode Island. Dr. Caldarella then went on to receive subspecialty training in Endocrinology at UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey. He is also a Certified Diabetes Educator.
He has been in practice at Diabetes and Endocrine Associates of Hunterdon (DEAH) at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ for the past 10 years. In addition to his endocrine practice, Dr. Caldarella also practices obesity medicine at the Center for Advanced Weight Loss in Clinton, NJ. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he has served as the Research Director at DEAH for the past 4 years. Dr. Caldarella is honored to have received the Teacher of the Year Award from the Family Medicine Residency Program at Hunterdon Medical Center in 2008. In addition, he was named the “Top Doctor” in New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
Dr. Caldarella was Chair of the New Jersey State Chapter of AACE, one of the most active Chapters in AACE, from 2009 to 2012. He is also Vice-Chair for the Continuing Medical Education Committee. In addition, he is on the Primary Care Diabetes Committee and Annual Meeting Clinical Congress Program Committee. Dr. Caldarella is also President-Elect of the Hunterdon County Medical Society.
