Dr. Weber was admitted to the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University where she received her medical degree in 1989. She completed her internship, residency, chief residency and fellowship at the University of Miami in Miami, Fla., where she continued to practice.
During her training, she attended many Florida internal nedicine meetings where she met AACE founder, Dr. Yank Coble, who spoke of the forming of a new organization geared specifically for clinical endocrinologists. She joined AACE as part of the “Adopt-a-Fellow” campaign sponsored by then AACE President, Dr. Paul Jellinger. She has been a continuous AACE member ever since.
In 1996, she moved to Greenville, South Carolina where she practices endocrinology. Dr. Weber is involved in the medical school and residency teaching programs as Professor of Medicine at University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Greenville, Greenville Health System, where she also serves as Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and is Chair of Continuing Medical Education.
Dr. Weber has been an active member of her AACE Carolinas Chapter, serving as a Board Member, Secretary, Vice President and President. On a national level, she has served on numerous committees, has served on the Board of Directors for more than six years, and on the Executive Committee as Secretary.
