    Donald A. Bergman, MD, FACE, is in private practice in New York City and board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology and metabolism. He has been Clinical Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City since 2004 and previously has held other academic positions since 1977.

    Dr. Duick joined the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) in 1995 and has served as a board member since 1997.  Dr. Duick was elected President of AACE at its 17th Annual Meeting and Clinical Congress in Orlando, Florida in 2008. Dr. Duick subsequently served as President of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE). Currently, he continues to serve on the AACE Board of Directors as an Advisory Member.

    Dr. Yehuda Handelsman is the medical director and principal investigator of the Metabolic Institute of America and an endocrinologist in solo private practice in Tarzana, California, where he developed and successfully utilizes a comprehensive, multiple interventional approach to preventing and managing diabetes, obesity, lipid disorders and cardiovascular disease.

    Derek LeRoith, M.D., Ph.D., is currently the Director of Research in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Diseases at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

    Dr. LeRoith has worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 1979 in the field of endocrinology and diabetes.  He was then promoted to Diabetes Branch Chief at the NIH in Bethesda, MD, a position he held until 2005. From 2005 to 2010, he was Director of the Division of Endocrinology and Director of the Metabolism Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
