  • Pauline M. Camacho, M.D., F.A.C.E.
    2017-2018 Immediate Past President

    Dr. Camacho is an endocrinologist at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. She is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Loyola University Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease Center, and Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship Program.

    She received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

  • Jonathan D. Leffert, MD, FACP, FACE, ECNU
    2017-2018 President

    Dr. Leffert graduated from Brown University and the University of Minnesota Medical School. In 1983, he moved to Dallas to begin his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical Center. He was awarded the AHA Bugher Fellowship in Molecular Biology to begin his research fellowship at UT Southwestern, and then received a NIH Physician-Scientist Award in 1989 for his work in cloning the rat amylin cDNA. Dr. Leffert completed his clinical fellowship in 1991, also at UT Southwestern, and entered private practice in Dallas.

    Dr. Daniel L. Hurley is the current AACE Vice President and a member of the AACE Executive Committee. He has also served two prior consecutive three-year terms on the AACE Board of Directors, as well as serving on multiple AACE/ACE committees to include Finance Committee chair, Program Planning Committee member and past Co-Chair for the AACE Clinical Congress, member and past Chair of the Nutrition Scientific Committee, past Chair of the Academic Endocrinologists Committee, and past Chair of the Chapters Committee.     Associate Director of Internal Medicine & Chief in the Section of Endocrinology, Greenville Hospital System University Medical Group

    Dr. Weber was admitted to the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University where she received her medical degree in 1989. She completed her internship, residency, chief residency and fellowship at the University of Miami in Miami, Fla., where she continued to practice.

    Howard M. Lando, MD, FACP, FACE, is a practicing Endocrinologist with Medical Specialists of Northern Virginia in Alexandria and Reston, Virginia. He was born and raised in the Washington, DC, area and received a BS in Physics at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia.
